Our Strategic Initiatives

Each full battery GED test cost a student $160. This does not include the additional $24 for the official practice tests. The Pickens CLCP provides scholarships to Pickens County residents. Last year the Pickens CLCP provided 45 scholarships.

When students attend classes through our partner agency, Chattahoochee Technical College Adult Education, they are invited to attend an official graduation ceremony. Pickens CLCP provides caps and gowns for the students to borrow during the ceremony. 

The local technical college operates a learning center with state and federal funding. There are years when this funding is not enough to provide an instructional aide in Pickens County. Pickens CLCP has been able to provide funding for a part-time instructor and an instructional aide.
